The model is created partly for smoothing, however for the distant plan turbosmooth can not be needed. Elements for anti-aliasing have a prefix turbo. In order to avoid texture stretches (they are not noticeable) in later versions of 3ds Max, it is better to use the OpenSubdiv anti-aliasing modifier. In the modifier settings in OpenSubdiv Control - UV Boundary, select Smooth (Edge & Corner).
